Fire Department Hosts 20th Anniversary Fill-The-Boot Toll Road at 30+ Citywide Locations

St. Louisans are called upon to fill the St. Louis Fire Department's boots on Memorial Day Weekend and support summer recreational programs for thousands of deserving children at Mathews-Dickey Boys' & Girls' Club. Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson and his team are conducting the 20th Annual "Safety Weekend for Kids" collection at citywide locations from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26. The sessions will conclude on Sunday, May 27.

"We salute the Club's recreational programs for keeping youth off the streets and safe during the summer months," said Jenkerson. "The St. Louis Fire Department believes in this mission and is proud to host this important drive for the 20th year."

"This is a challenging and triumphant time for Mathews-Dickey, as we strive to continue our core services while expanding into North County at the Bob Russell Park satellite location," said President, CEO & Co-Founder Martin Luther Mathews. "To meet these growing needs, we're making an appeal to all St. Louisans to be generous to the hardworking firemen and women who are giving their time to this endeavor."
